VESTIBULAR / BALANCE CLINICS ....
There are 3 levels of Fall Prevention & Balance Correction available to you from
Complete Balance Consulting:
ANKLE BALANCE STABILIZERS:
Your first (and least expensive) level of participation is that of providing ABS’s by casting, fitting, and billing for these Unique, custom created, ankle/foot orthotics which provide a here-to-fore unheard of stabilization for "balance challenged" patients, thereby reducing fall by as much as 50%!
You may choose to provide the ABS to patients within your clinic, to outside clinics, to nursing homes, senior daycare, and/or assisted living facilities.
This requires the requisite DME (durable medical equipment) license, and forms provided @ n/c.
Level 2: Vestibular Rehab Department within an
existing clinic: using computerized balance platform:
Vestibular patient management utilizing computerized dynamic platforms for diagnostic and treatment for balance therapy is a simple addition to any clinic ... In addition, these useful rehab units can also be used for all of your existing neuro-musculo-skeletal / rehab patients!
New patients may be acquired through any one or a combination of marketing efforts:
a. Newspaper, magazine, fax, and direct mail
b. Internal screening of all patients over 50 years old, Internal letter to existing patient base,
c. Marketing to other allied professionals within a 20 mile radius of your clinic,
d. External screenings at various locations that we'll coach you to market,
e. External TV and print marketing efforts
Acquisition and application of high and low tech rehab for vertiginous patients.
Level 3: VENG testing:
1. VENG = Video Electro Nystagmography testing: the use of lightweight infra-red (night vision) video goggles to track eye
movement during various body positioning and visual stimulations to provoke nystagmus, which thereby determine what part of the inner ear vestibular system may be mal-functioning. These nearly infallible systems allow for more precise diagnosis and therefore more precisely directed treatment.
2. Another option is that of becoming an IDTF (Independent diagnostic testing facility)
a. Doing VENG testing for the doctors within your community as well as in more remote areas where ownership and utilization of a VENG system would not be as profitable.b. Anyone can become an IDTF, by filling out the requisite paperwork and submitting to Medicare (just as one does to obtain other Medicare provider numbers).
3. We will provide the correct forms at no charge and may even provide some assistance with completion and submission (perhaps from independent contractor at additional fees).
